JV defeats The Highlands 3-2

The JV men opened the meat of their regular season on Thursday night with a 3-2 victory over The Highlands in Irving.  Joshua Glass opened the scoring when the opposing keeper kicked a short distribution, and Josh accepted the gift and made the most of it.   Brett Fedderson scored another goal to send the match to halftime with HSAA up 2-0.

In the second half, Brett added a second goal to his tally for the night, extending the lead to 3-0.  The Highlands came back to make it interesting, scoring on a breakaway and a cross to a backdoor attacker.

On a night that included scrimmage corner kicks and PKs, and a comedy troupe cheering section for the home team, the Angels held on for the victory.
