Day One Done...Now Some Fun

With Day One of the tournament behind us, the teams and parents retreated to the hotel to get ready for the team dinner.  If a statistical extrapolation of the your Blogger's clan was indication, the Hunger Gauges were red-lining as we gathered in the lobby of the Ryan's Steakhouse in Springfield.  I think I saw the manager quaver slightly as he saw thirty strapping young men enter his all-you-can-eat establishment....

But despite the keen edge on our hunger, the most common sentiment expressed in the lobby seemed to be some variation of:
"OOOOOOH, it's so WARM in here!"

There is nothing like a long day outside, especially if it's cold, to stoke the fires of a noble hunger, so we plundered and pillaged the buffet islands, gathered in a room set aside for our horde, and tucked in....

Afterwards, everyone repaired to the hotel for some much needed relaxation and rest.  Of course, some took on a rather unique outlook on 'relaxation'.....

And some had their own method of letting off steam.....
This is what pro soccer players do
after a match, wot?

It was a fun evening, made even more so by the 4 wins the boys had tucked in their belts.  Now on to Saturday, and some more Freezing Soccer!
