Varsity falls to Cistercian 2-1

The Varsity side lost to Cistercian 2-1, on the strength of a crossbar deflection and a penalty kick.

The teams remained scoreless in the first half; in the second, the crossbar proved not to be the "goalkeeper's friend" when the ball deflected and still made it into the net.

15 minutes later, HSAA was booked for a foul in the box and Cistercian converted the PK to go up by two goals.

At the 72' mark, HSAA got one goal back, but was unable to do any further damage.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Eubanks had a busy night, with a plethora of saves in a losing effort.
