JV opens regular season with 3-1 win over PCA

The HSAA men's teams opened their regular season at home, as both squads faced off against Prestonwood Christian Academy on a beautiful clear evening.

HSAA opened the scoring with their first goal in the 12th minute;  shortly thereafter goalkeeper Matthew Welch had to come out of the game to be treated for injury after a knee-knee collision with a PCA player.   PCA scored the equalizer on a chip shot not long after Matthew returned to the pitch.

The teams went to halftime with the scored tied at 1.  In the second half, HSAA scored 2 goals late in the half to take the win 3-1.    HSAA goals were scored by Peter Byrd, Sam Lee and Zachary Taylor.

GK Matthew Welch made 10 saves to help preserve the win.
