Varsity opens Nationals with a 10-0 win

The HSAA varsity men's team opened up their 2015 Nationals run with a 10-0 victory over St. Louis United B.   Led by Gabe Johnson's hat trick +1, the Angels spent most of the day in St. Louis half of the pitch, and used crisp, precision passing to slice apart their defense in front of the goal, a defense that often parked the bus with 7 men in the box.

Max Perez and Jason Goodin had a multi-goal match; Daniel Kim and Kisito Faa rounded out the scoring with one goal each.

The match was called because of the 10-goal rule.

Sportsmanship shout-out to our noble opponents:
Their goalkeeper continued to play hard and kept his head up despite the lopsided score.   The HSAA offense was firing cannon shots at him all day, and he played hard and with spirit.
