The JV men rebounded in their second match, posting a dominant 4-0 win over St. Louis United JV team. The win made them the winners of the "E" group, and placed them into the bye position in the 4A bracket for Friday.
Sam Lipper opened the scoring with a point blank shot from the right side, on an assist from Micah Saenz. The half ended with HSAA up 1-0.
The second half started with a bang, as Brett Fedderson decided not to waste any time and scored 1 minute into the half, going one-on-one with the St. Louis goalkeeper after a feed from Sam Lipper.
Sam then decided he wanted another one, posting his second goal of the match to make it 3-0.
HSAA was dominant in their offensive half throughout most of the game, making it a rather easy 60 minutes for the back line and GK Jordan Hertzog.
Timothy Rayle put the icing on the cake as the second half was coming to a close, with a solo dribble from the right-side corner all the way across the end line, and making the finishing shot.
Special shout-out for play that might not show up in the stat sheet:
In a game that had the spotlight on the offensive side, the back line did a great job of quickly extinguishing almost every time the St. Louis side even began to think of looking at the goal.
